SensatioNail Steal

I’m girly. I like a good deal. And I love to play with all things beauty. I do my own gel nails at home. Why pay someone else to do it, when I can buy 3 bottles of gel polish for the same price? A gel mani in my city, will hit you hard at about $55 CAD/$60 CAD. Even without a sale, a bottle of Gelish from Sally Beauty is only $18 CAD!!

I found a glorious deal on Nailene Sensationail Gel Polish. I had never heard of this brand, so I only bought three. After going home and doing some research, I discovered that Nailene is a popular brand found in the US (sold at retailers such as Rite Aid) and the UK. I immediately went back and bought more!!

Nailene Sensationail Gel Polish
Retail: $16.99 CAD
Steal: $2 CAD

For $2 CAD, how could I not pick up as many shades as possible? I picked up 8 in total. 8 polishes, $16 CAD … cheaper than one, regularly priced polish. I found these in my favorite place to bargin hunt, Bianca Amor’s. True “diamonds in the rough“.

They had a pretty decent selection of shades to pick from. I got quite a few, even ones I wouldn’t typically wear. For $2 CAD they are perfect for one time or nail art shades.

Shades: Pink Daisy (fushcia pink gloss), Evening Sand (light peach shimmer)

Shades: Juicy Sangria (red gloss), Mauve Maven (mauve gloss)

Shades: Something Blue (bright blue shimmer), Blue Yonder (deep navy gloss)

Shades: Disco Fever (pewter shimmer), La Creme (nude cream gloss)

These shades wear beautifully. I don’t have the Nailene Sensationail base or top coat; I use the shades in conjunction with my Gelish system. All gel products can be used together, and these have fit flawlessly into my collection. I get my typical 10-14 days of wear before I switch up my mani. Typically boredom gets to me before wear.

Do you use gel products? Or do you prefer to stick to regular nail polish?! If you live in #yyc, you need to get your cute booty on over to BA to get some gellies ASAP. ♡♡♡

Spring Savings

Every once in a while, you find some real gems in the most unexpected places. In this case, Bianca Amor’s. A warehouse style liquidation center. It doesn’t matter where in the country you live (or in the US), there are always outlet and liquidation centers. You never know what you will find, but that’s half the fun!! It’s what I like to call a “diamond in the rough“.

Mossimo Sundress Blue With White Hearts
Retail: $29.99 CAD
Steal: $8 CAD

How ADORABLE is this dress?? I can’t wait to wear this little number once the weather gets hot! I can see myself wearing this with an ice cream cone in hand!!

Covergirl Smoky Shadow Blast
Retail: $10.99 CAD
Steal: $2 CAD

I have heard terrible, terrible things about this duo stick. But in typical Boobs&Blonde fashion, I have to decide that for myself. I personally love cream eyeshadows, so I’m hoping the bad reviews were based on preference and not product. Time will tell. For two dollars, it’s worth a try!! I loved the black and white shades. Perfect for a variety of makeup looks or accents (like a pop of white in the corner of your inner eye).

Kleancolor 3D Nail Art
Retail: $5.99 CAD
Steal: $1.50 CAD

I’m definitely obsessed with doing my nails and all things nail art. Sparkles, glitter, foil … I want it all!!!! And for $1.50 CAD, it looks like I might be stocked for life!

I am dying over these French Connection deals!! It is all soooooo cute!! I can’t wait to wear these this summer. Perfect to dress up a plain tank and jean shorts, or a simple Maxi dress!! I do plan to wear these year round, I know they will be just as great with sweaters!! Long necklaces are definitely my favorite!!

I’m feeling ready for spring with all of these great savings!! Have you found any great steals for the season?! Diamonds I’m telling you. Diamonds, baby. ♡♡

Case Chaos

Cases. Phone cases. If you are like me, you probably change them weekly. I hate having the same old boring phone case. If I am going to spend a significant amount of time playing with it, you better believe he will look cute, you better believe my phone will look cute. However, regular stores provide many boundaries:
1) You might not find a print or color you like.
2) If you do find a print that you like, they may not carry it for your phone model.
3) The case you finally settle on, will be overpriced (guaranteed).

That’s when eBay comes in and saves the day. I can easily get 15 cases for the price of ONE in the store. Yes you read that right, 15!!! Any pattern, color, style, material you can think of, eBay will have it. And the cases start as cheap as $0.99 USD, with FREE shipping!! This isn’t the first time that I have told you about finding “diamonds in the rough” with eBay!!

To find a case (on eBay):
1) Enter your phone model, followed by “case”. For example, I search “Samsung Galaxy S5 Case”.
2) Once you get the THOUSANDS of results, narrow them down (refine) but clicking “buy it now”. This narrows out auction listings and allows you to buy cases available, instantaneously.
3) I then further narrow the results by sorting from “lowest price to highest price”. This allows me to find the best deals.
4) Pick a case that you like and BUY IT!!

These are some of my latest eBay case finds!! The most expensive of the bunch was $1.69 USD. What a splurge!! I also use eBay to buy chargers, USB cords, screen protectors – basically anything smartphone related!! Happy hunting! What’s you favorite eBay find?!?

Walmart Wonder

Did you know that Walmart has a clearance section? If you live in the States then yes, you probably did. You guys have a whole section designated to clearance items!! We Canadians, don’t. But clearance deals can still be found. Each department will have a designated mini area with any clearance items. Typically, these are shelves on the back end of a rack or in a dark corner. Inviting, eh?! Nothing like making your way into the deepest darkest corner and emerging with some wonderful treasures.

Pantene Pro-V Advanced+ Keratin Repair Collection Starter Kit
Retail: $10.99 CAD
Steal: $2 CAD

Everyone knows I’m a brand whore. An expensive brand whore. And Pantene does not fit into this category. I don’t think I have used drugstore shampoo and conditioner since I was a preteen, even as a teen I used Redken. But when I saw this SET on clearance for $2 CAD, I knew I had to give the drugstore brand a chance. This line, the Pantene Expert Collection, is specifically designed for damaged or aging hair. This formula, Advanced+ Keratin Repair, is supposed to “reverse 2 years worth of damage in just 2 minutes“. That’s quite a big promise for a drugstore brand haircare line.

The kit contained:
• Advanced+ Keratin Repair Shampoo
• Advanced+ Keratin Repair Conditioner
• Advanced+ Keratin Repair Split End Fuser

So the verdict, did it repair my split ends and strengthen my fine, thin, natural blonde mane? Yes! I did see a difference in the ends of my hair, they did look fused!! But to be fair, any of my smoothing treatments (i.e. Moroccanoil Treatment) make my ends look the same way. This didn’t do anything amazing to my hair. Did this take off two years of damage? No. Did my hair feel smooth and soft afterwards? Yes. Maybe if your hair was truly exhausted, this would make a world of difference. But I take care of my hair. I use coconut oil overnight, I comb it when it’s wet (not brush), I try to use hair products without sulfates. Maybe my hair isn’t damaged enough to show any true, shocking results. Go on bitch, go and brush your shoulders off.

This kit was worth every penny of my $2 CAD. But will I buy again? No, especially not with the $13.99 CAD price per product. I would rather spend a few more dollars and get a higher quality product. This kit however, will be great for travel!! I don’t travel with my good hair products, as luggage often goes missing, and far too often for me to risk it. Besides using the Pantene as my travel bitch, I will stick to my ride-or-die salon products for my daily needs. And a final word to my babes: Bumble and Bumble, Living Proof, Redken … don’t worrying I’m still your little (brand) whore

Fcuk It

French Connection. Remember when it was all the rage?! Everyone and their dog had a signature “FCUK” t-shirt. I think the store might still be at some malls, but I personally don’t shop there anymore. Plus, it was always super pricey for seemingly average clothes.

I have been looking for a new work bag, one that was big enough to fit my lunch bag, tea thermos, books, agenda, pens, etc. I work with kids that have special needs, so I often need to bring different things to work depending on the plan for the day. During a recent trip to Bianca Amor’s, this bright, spacious bag caught my eye.

French Connection Tote
Retail: $148 CAD
Steal: $12 CAD

This bag is huge. Seriously. It is big enough to carry all my essentials and some extras! The tote is lined with a durable black fabric and has a zippered pocket. Yellow would not have been my first choice, but I’m actually glad I got a color I wouldn’t normally pick. And the yellow is growing on me, it is bright and vibrant on the coldest winter days. I like the lined black print mixed with the leather type center. For $12 CAD, this was an instant win for me. It was exactly the type of tote bag I was looking for.

The tote also came with a white dust bag. I have no intention of using it for this bag, but will gladly use it to store some of my Coach and MK bags I have that didn’t come with a dust bag (they were purchased from an outlet).

Do you still rock the FCUK? Or has that time come and gone for you as well?

Bits of Boxing Day

Boxing Day and I had some filthy fun. I took advantage of sales at David’s Tea, Sephora, La Senza, Starbucks, Canadian Tire (yep that’s right!), and Bianca Amor’s (my little secret spot). This is probably the most random haul I have ever posted but these deals were too good not to share!! I’m still waiting on my Sephora and David’s Tea orders but I will post them when they arrive, pinky promise.

You know you have a slight Starbucks obsession when you end up with $90 in gift cards, a mug and coffee set, and a silver cup tree ornament, in gifts. I didn’t want to spend my gift cards completely on lattes, so I stopped by in store, to check out their Boxing Day Sale. They had 40% off most of their cups/mugs/tumblers plus and additional 10% off selected merchandise. This tumbler is massive, 24 oz!

La Senza
So now I’m posting my underwear on the internet? Haha! But seriously! I got a $50 gift card to La Senza for Christmas and I thought it was best to take it to the La Senza Outlet in my city (which I found out is closing, sad!!). I got all of this for $41.98 CAD!!

Lagostina Ticino Non Stick Skillet
Retail: $41.99 CAD
Steal: $9.99 CAD

Bianca Amor’s
Bianca Amor’s is one of the last liquidation places left in YYC. They always have great finds in so many different departments. Stock is always changing so frequent visits are essential for finding those diamonds in the rough. This trip I found some TEAL Loreal Voluminous Mascara. This is going straight into my costume makeup case!

Loreal Voluminous Color Mascara
Retail: $10.99 CAD
Steal: $3 CAD

I also grabbed an Ecotools Bamboo Blush/Bronzer Brush. This brush is huge and works so well for powder and bronzer.

Ecotools Bamboo Blush/Bronzer Brush
Retail: $14.99 CAD
Steal: $5 CAD

These adorable holiday party invites are going away in the holiday decoration box for next year. They were so cheap I couldn’t resist. Seriously, how cute are these Jingle Mingle invitations? They will be perfect for that next ugly sweater party!!

Party Express from Hallmark Invitations Kit (x3)
Retail: $14.25 CAD
Steal: $1 CAD

Cocktail rings! Statement jewelry pieces. How perfect is the black one to go with my NYE Black and Gold theme. These fabulous rings were only $3 CAD each! They are just statment costume pieces, so I’m going to paint the insides of the rings with clear nail polish to stop them from tarnishing! Good tip

Ahhh! So many great finds already! I’m anxiously waiting for my other orders!!! Tell me! What did you get? Where do you frequent to find the best deals?

eBay eWonders

Some of my favorite finds of all time were discovered on eBay! Whether it’s a phone case, a statement jewelry piece, or that makeup brand you can never find at home, eBay will have it! I love refining the search settings to find the best deals (including shipping costs). Recently, I was super jealous to hear about a free VIB Rouge perk, Haute Pink Lips by Buxom. eBay was the easiest way for me to get my hands on my own set. I was lucky enough to score a brand new box courtesy of user hdallian! I paid $11 CAD (plus $5 CAD shipping) for the ENTIRE set! These are half size products so the value is roughly about $11.50 CAD, each. The awesome thing about this seller (hdallian) was that she threw in some free, high end, makeup samples – bonus! (I highly recommend you check out her other items for sale!)

Haute Pink Lips includes:
1. Mini Buxom Full-On Lip Polish in Nicole (shimmering strawberry)
2. Mini Buxom Full-Bodied Lip Gloss in Sweet Thing (hot pink)
3. Mini Buxom Full-Bodied Lipstick in Mistress (creamy pink)

Free samples included:
1. Josie Maran Lip and Cheek Creamy Oil (in Limitless Pink)
2. Yves Saint Laurent Gloss Volupte (in three shades!!! ♡)

This was a FABULOUS $11 eBay find! I’ll have plenty of colors to play up my pucker! As for eBay & more fab finds … Diamond: If you take your time and do your research, you can find some amazing items. Rough: Buyer Beware! If you don’t look into a seller’s history, or impulse buy without reading full item descriptions, you could be in for major disappointment. Log on, bitches, & tell me what you can find!
